Indie idea finder · Build in public

Find an idea worth building. Get refunded if you actually ship.

Pannly watches Reddit and Hacker News for the recurring "I'd pay for this" posts. We score, brief, and price each idea at $3 — refunded automatically the moment you launch.

Where the signal comes from

We read what builders are already saying out loud.

Pannly listens in public — the SaaS-focused communities on Reddit and the Ask HN / Show HN feeds. Every brief preserves the original source link so the evidence stays honest.

The pipeline

We don't summarise threads. We process them.

Five stages turn a raw founder post into a paid idea brief. Each stage is deterministic and idempotent — the brief you read today comes from the freshest cluster of signals.

  1. Step 01

    Crawl

Pull the latest founder posts from Reddit and Hacker News on a regular cadence.

  2. Step 02

    Filter

An LLM rejects noise. Only specific, repeatable pains move forward.

  3. Step 03

    Embed

Convert each accepted signal into a semantic vector we can reason over.

  4. Step 04

    Cluster

Group related pains. New ones become new ideas; close ones reinforce existing briefs.

  5. Step 05

    Brief

Generate a structured brief: pain, evidence, validation plan, landing copy.

What you unlock

A brief is a research dossier, not a tweet.

One $3 unlock buys the full structured brief — pain, sourced evidence, a real validation plan, named buyer personas, and ready-to-paste landing copy. Premium briefs (overall score ≥ 85) cost $5; the refund-on-ship promise still applies.

AI thumbnails for Hindi YouTube creators

Hindi creators with 10–500k subs hand-make thumbnails because Western-trained AI tools default to alien faces and compositions.

The pain

Mid-size Hindi creators spend hours on every thumbnail because the popular AI tools train on Western faces and generic compositions. The output looks foreign on a regional channel — and CTR drops until they redo it manually.

"Tried three of the big tools — every preset gives me white, American-looking faces. Spent four hours redoing the thumbnail by hand. Again."

  • 3-step validation plan

What to do, what signal to watch for, when to walk away.

The refund mechanic

You don't pay $3. You stake $3.

When you unlock a brief, the $3 isn't a fee. It's a deposit on your own follow-through. Ship a working URL within 30 days, hit Submit, an admin reviews within 24–48 hours, and the $3 returns to your card automatically through our payment processor.

FAQ

Questions builders actually ask.

What if I don't ship in 30 days?

The $3 stays as a normal purchase. You keep access to the brief forever; we just don't issue the refund. The window is what makes the stake meaningful.

What counts as 'shipped'?

A working live URL plus a screenshot showing the core functionality. We reject 'coming soon' pages, sites behind login walls, and sites that don't credibly address the unlocked idea. Manual review by a human, 24–48 hour turnaround.

Can I cancel my Pro plan?

Anytime through the customer portal. We don't pro-rate refunds — you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Do you store my card?

No. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments. We see only transaction status and a customer ID for portal access. Your card details never touch our servers.

Where does the brief content come from?

Real public posts on Reddit and Hacker News. Every evidence quote in a brief preserves the source URL so you can read the original thread. Briefs are written by an LLM working from clustered signals, prompted to keep the language specific and grounded.

What languages and regions do you cover?

English-language posts from the listed subreddits and Hacker News. Pricing auto-converts to INR for users in India, USD elsewhere — based on your IP at checkout.
